Let Gary Johnson Debate!
September 2, 2016

Picture

Gary Johnson leads in support among military members, but he is often unjustly kept out of major debates and forums.

The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), a non-profit organization, has excluded Governor Johnson from their Commander-in-Chief Forum on September 7. The topics of the debate are foreign policy and national security.

Gary Johnson is the most popular candidate among active duty military members, receiving 38.7% support. In addition, 61% of Americans believe that Johnson should be included in the presidential debates. By excluding Johnson from the debate, IAVA has ignored the popular mandates of both the troops and the American people.

We need to draw attention to this act of injustice. Petition and protest.

Please check out the following petitions:
Petition to the Commission on Presidential Debates
Petition by the official Johnson-Weld campaign
Change.org petition to IAVA

There will be a protest on Wednesday, September 7th, at the Rockefeller Plaza to draw attention to this act of injustice. Please join the following Facebook group if you are interested in attending:

About the Columbia University Libertarians

We are a non-partisan group that believes in the Libertarian principals of individual liberty, limitations on government intervention, and free markets. Here at CUL, we seek to identify and evaluate the implications of our philosophy of freedom in our rapidly changing, modern world, where overarching principal of liberty takes on more nuanced applications in practice. Members hold a wide range of thought on today's core issues, and we seek to expand upon these opinions in our meetings. We hope you will join us and participate in lively discussions!
