Hello, everyone. This is a friendly reminder that former Libertarian Party VP Candidate and New York Libertarian Party member Larry Sharpe will be speaking on campus today.

The topic of Larry Sharpe's speech is the Futility of the War on Drugs and the War on Terror. The event is scheduled for 6:00-7:00pm in Roone Arledge Cinema (on 2-West). Doors open at 5:30pm.

For more information, please check out the Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/690693201086341. Share it with your friends and spread the word!

Additionally, the Columbia Political Union will be hosting a Debate Watch Party on Sunday, October 9th, at 8:45pm. Students of all political affiliations are encouraged to attend. Barnard political science professor Michael Miller will be there to live-tweet and introduce the event.

CPU has booked the South Lawn for the event, but it may be moved indoors to Low Plaza or Lerner 555 in case of rain. Guests are invited to bring blankets and food to enjoy the evening.

About the Columbia University Libertarians

We are a non-partisan group that believes in the Libertarian principals of individual liberty, limitations on government intervention, and free markets. Here at CUL, we seek to identify and evaluate the implications of our philosophy of freedom in our rapidly changing, modern world, where overarching principal of liberty takes on more nuanced applications in practice. Members hold a wide range of thought on today's core issues, and we seek to expand upon these opinions in our meetings. We hope you will join us and participate in lively discussions!
